Paul Hill diary

12 March 1974

Today is my first day in jail, I still can't believe that I'm in here for a crim I did not commit and I was forced to confess due to intimidation and physical agression.
When I first arrived I was washed and dressed with the yellow striped uniform, wich is given to the worst criminals. My first contact with British criminals was really intense, because they all hate Irish people, specially those from IRA, even though I'm not one of them.
After eating that shity food and wasting time with other criminals, i went to bed, where I can't stop wondering about how would I end up if I had never met gerry in that ferry.
